1. Can I use the SearchAlert luggage lock internationally?
Yes, you can use the SearchAlert Travel Sentry certified luggage lock internationally. Only the TSA in US domestic airports have the secured access devices to open the locks for baggage inspection. When traveling abroad it is always best to ask security or the airline agent about policy on luggage locks which can vary by airport abroad.
Note: UK airport security agents are scheduled to obtain secure access keys in 2005.

2. What if the TSA breaks my lock?
It is very rare that the TSA breaks your SearchAlert luggage lock, but it can happen. The TSA should include an inspection notice and place the broken luggage lock in your baggage. Send the broken SearchAlert to us for a replacement please include an order number your name and a return address.
3. If I order today when will I receive my items?
We ship all orders the same business day if ordered by 4:30 PM EST. Free shipping which is available in the USA is usually delivered within 5 to 6 business days, but we do offer expedited shipping service options at checkout if you need your order sooner. Priority mail is a great shipping option which delivers usually within 2-3 business days for only a few additional dollars. If you need your order tomorrow, we'll get it to you - just select the Next Day shipping option.
4. Does the US Free Shipping include Alaska and Hawaii?
Yes. We will ship anywhere in the USA for free including Hawaii and Alaska. Although, shipments do arrive sooner (usually within 3-5 business days) if Priority Mail shipping is selected at checkout.
5. I was setting my SearchAlert and it is locked or jammed what do I do?
We do occasionally see locks "stick", particularly in the 180 degree position. This is a result of the dials not being set to 0-0-0 in steps 2 and 3 of the setting instructions http://www.Tamperseal.com/searchalert_instructions.php. if you purchased the lock from us, we would be happy to reset the lock to 0-0-0 for you at no charge. Include your name, order number, and return address. We will pay for the return shipping. If you would like a specific combination, please include it with your lock.

If you did not purchase your lock from Tamperseal.com and would like us to reset it. Send your lock, name, address, and preferred combination with $5.00 to the address above and we'll reset the lock and return it to you.

Though it is unusual, Yes in some cases. It is at the discretion of your customs. We complete all applicable customs forms and declarations.
